ACTP RF supported the creation of tourist and recreational SEZs in Irkutsk and Vologda regions
The interdepartmental working group on the creation and development of special economic zones, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, approved draft government resolutions on the creation of two new tourist and recreational SEZs.
We are talking about the formation of the SEZ "Baikal Coast" on the territory of the Baikal urban settlement of the Slyudyansky district of the Irkutsk region and the SEZ "Santa Claus" in the Velikoustyugsky municipal district of the Vologda region. The documents were reviewed in the editorial office of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
Mikhail Labudin, Director of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, took part in the voting of the projects. According to him, the launch of new tourist and recreational areas should be based on a balanced investment model and a clear strategy for attracting residents.
"The supported projects open up the opportunity for further approval of government resolutions and the launch of new sites with preferential treatment, focused on the development of tourism infrastructure, attracting private investment and creating sustainable economic growth points in the regions," Mikhail Labudin said.
