ACTP RF at the International Economic Forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum": infrastructure sites in Russia are attractive for investment and cooperation with the OIC countries

At the site of the international forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum", the ACTP RF is holding a panel session "Strategic dialogue of infrastructural industrial sites: prospects for the development of industrial clusters in Russia and the OIC countries (Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZ of Russia).

In particular, the participants discussed the need to improve the investment climate and develop entrepreneurship through infrastructure sites such as special economic zones (SEZs), industrial technoparks and industrial parks. One of the main tasks of infrastructure sites is to attract manufacturing companies to the territories with preferential treatment. The successful experience of locating enterprises from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries in Russian SEZs, technoparks and industrial parks demonstrates that joint projects in these zones are a promising area of cooperation with the countries of the Islamic world.

Cooperation between the infrastructure sites of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) can significantly affect the economic development of the countries. The speakers noted the need to exchange experience between the infrastructure sites of Russia and the OIC countries and to start work on the implementation of investment projects at infrastructure sites.

"Infrastructure sites such as special economic zones, industrial technoparks and industrial parks play an important role in the development of industrial cooperation and the creation of new logistics links. However, differences in the legislative regulation of such sites in different countries create difficulties for investors. Therefore, it is necessary to develop cooperation between infrastructure sites and strive to bring legislative regulation closer. This will create conditions for increasing the investment attractiveness of the sites and facilitate the localization of production," said Mikhail Labudin, Director of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia.

Dias Safin, General Director of CJSC Innovation and Production Technopark "Idea":

"The Technopark plans to develop in promising areas such as microelectronics, instrumentation, robotics and agrobiotechnology, using a cluster approach and government support measures. We also support the initiative to create an International Association of Infrastructure Sites of the BRICS countries, which will facilitate the localization of production, harmonize regulation and build new chains of cooperation."
